We are now looking for a driven and engaged property caretaker for the property management area West. We are responsible for the maintenance of the municipality's properties, roads, and public land in Gimo, Alunda, and Österbybruk. Together, we contribute to the development of Östhammar Municipality as a community where people want to live and work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a property caretaker, you will conduct rounds, maintenance, and repairs both inside and outside of properties and outdoor environments. You will handle digital fault reports, perform planned or urgent maintenance, and janitorial services, as well as take responsibility for identifying areas that require proactive maintenance work. Repair and maintenance of machinery are also part of your job.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a high school or vocational education in property or park maintenance, or equivalent education or experience that we consider relevant.

You have at least three years of previous experience as a property caretaker/property technician or several years of experience in similar tasks and service.

The job requires:

• Driver's license B
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing
• Good competence in working with computers, mobile phones, and/or tablets as well as digital tools
• Good knowledge in handling vehicles, machinery, and equipment for construction and property maintenance

Meritorious are:

• Driver's license BE
• C2 Wheel loader
• Work on the road
• Hot work
• Lift training
• Chainsaw license AB, C, or E
• Work at height

Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities as the role of property caretaker requires good collaboration and daily communication with both the immediate supervisor and our customers in the form of businesses/tenants and suppliers. Therefore, we are looking for someone who easily develops effective and supportive relationships with colleagues and is attentive and accommodating towards customers. You take responsibility for your tasks and drive your work forward. You are also flexible and adapt easily to changing circumstances and demands.
